Shant co-heads Riverwood Growth Credit, a strategy that provides structured debt financing to proven, high-growth technology companies to scale their business with minimal dilution to existing equity. Shant has been investing across the credit landscape for the past two decades and through three distinct business cycles. He has been particularly focused on lending to high-growth technology companies and has in the past played a key role in launching three different credit platforms, all focused on the technology sector.

Prior to Riverwood, Shant co-founded and led Sanctum Capital, a growth credit firm dedicated to financing technology companies. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director at Hercules Capital, a $4 billion+ publicly traded credit platform specializing in technology, life sciences, and special situations. Earlier in his career, Shant was an M&A banker at J.P. Morgan; a member of the investment team at Comdisco Ventures, where he gained extensive restructuring experience during the “dotcom” crash; an early member of a credit opportunities fund that grew to $2.5 billion; and an investment professional at a family office that co-invested alongside prominent private equity funds.

Shant received a BA, magna cum laude, College Scholar (Math, Economics and Philosophy) from Cornell University, with one year at Oxford University. Shant also received an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Alex Chetkowski is an Associate at Riverwood Capital. Prior to joining Riverwood, Alex was an Associate at Sunstone Partners, a growth-oriented private equity firm that invests in software and tech-enabled services companies. Previously he held investing roles at Numeta Capital and SNH Capital Partners. Alex began his career in investment banking at JEGI Clarity and Marlin & Associates.

Alex earned a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Mathematics from Boston College.

Romulo is an Associate at Riverwood Capital. Prior to joining Riverwood, Romulo worked at Centerbridge Partners, a private equity firm, where he focused on investments in enterprise software and IT services. Romulo began his career as an investment banker in the Media & Communications group at J.P. Morgan.

Romulo graduated with a Bachelor of Accounting and dual major in Finance from Florida International University.

Mariana serves as an Analyst Consultant at Riverwood Capital. Prior to joining Riverwood, Mariana worked as an analyst at Avila VC, a climate-tech early-stage venture capital firm. Previously, Mariana worked at Lazard as an investment banking analyst focused on M&A transactions for a wide range of industries across Latin America, and at Ualá as a Business Analyst for the payments team.

Mariana holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella.

Ignacio Ortiz is an Analyst Consultant at Riverwood Capital. Prior to joining Riverwood, Ignacio worked at Grupo Pegasus, a private equity firm focused on middle-market companies in Latin America. Previously, Ignacio was part of the Investment Banking team at J.P. Morgan, where he focused on debt financing transactions across Latin America.

Ignacio graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Universidad Argentina de la Empresa.

Rob is a Senior Associate at Riverwood Capital. Prior to joining Riverwood, Rob was at Sun Capital Partners, a global private equity firm where he focused on business services and industrial manufacturing. Previously, Rob was an analyst in the Strategic Advisory group at PJT Partners where he specialized in software and technology companies globally. Rob graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Amherst College.

Lucas is a Senior Associate at Riverwood Capital. Prior to joining Riverwood, Lucas was an investor at SoftBank based in São Paulo, where he focused on growth investments in Latin America. Previously, Lucas worked at Principia Capital, a Brazilian independent private equity firm focused on the mid cap segment of the market.

Lucas received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo.

Shriya is an Associate at Riverwood Capital. Prior to joining Riverwood, Shriya worked in Business Operations at Samsara (NYSE: IOT) where she worked on go-to-market strategy and planning. Previously, Shriya was a strategy consultant at Accenture.

Shriya received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Matt is an Senior Associate at Riverwood Capital. Prior to joining Riverwood, Matt was an Associate at Conversion Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm, where he focused on investments in enterprise software and fintech. Previously, Matt worked at Insight Partners on the portfolio operations team where he assessed potential investments and advised portfolio companies on go-to-market strategy and operations.

Matt graduated with a B.A. in Public Policy from Duke University.

Joseline is a Vice President at Riverwood Capital. Prior to joining Riverwood, Joseline was on the Growth Equity team at Goldman Sachs, where she focused on investing in software and technology companies in North America and Latin America.

Joseline graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research: Engineering Management Systems from Columbia University.
