Francisco Alvarez-Demalde is a founder and managing partner of Riverwood Capital Partners, and heads Riverwood’s New York office and its Latin America efforts.
Mr. Alvarez-Demalde has invested and been actively involved in the development, operations, and growth of several successful businesses across Latin America and North America. Prior to co-founding Riverwood, Mr. Alvarez-Demalde was an investment executive at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR) and Eton Park, where he focused on private equity investments in the Technology Industry and other sectors in North America, Latin America, and other emerging markets. Previously, he was with Goldman, Sachs & Co.
Mr. Alvarez-Demalde earned a Licentiate (Honors) in Economics from San Andres University, Argentina (including an exchange program at the Wharton School). He is a director of Billtrust, Globant (NYSE: GLOB), Greenhouse, GoIntegro, Industrious, Navent, VTEX and others, and a board advisor and former director of several other companies, including Alog Data Centers do Brasil, Conductor, CloudBlue, Mandic, MotionPoint, among others. He is also active in non-profit initiatives related to education, including project DIGITAR.
